Jesus says, "If those who lead you say to you: ‘Look, the kingdom is in the sky!’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you: ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fishes will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and outside of you."

"When you come to know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will realize that you are the children of the living Father. But if you do not come to know yourselves, then you exist in poverty, and you are poverty."

GAP Mandate
The mandate of the Gathering of Apostles and Prophets (GAP) is to amass and develop an unified alliance of the ascension ministries for the purpose of spiritual unity, the strengthening the local assembly, and the implementing, establishing and advancing the Kingdom of God universally. We endeavor to prepare the Body of Christ for spiritual transformation through the Logos and Rhema Word, discipleship and leadership training, local and national conferences, and CAPRI establishments.

In the Book of Acts, when the Holy Spirit manifested and entered into the believers in the upper room, an unambiguous spiritual transformation occurred! It has been said that 2009 is the “Year of Pentecost”, which certainly means that a CHANGE is imminent! This intuitive sentiment has resonated in the spirit of many who believe there must be a change, and that the Body of Christ must be in position for this great spiritual transition!

The present “religious” attempts towards approaching God have been found insufficient! The reason for this is because the church, as a whole, has provided a partial “set-apart” ministry for many centuries. It has typically been a “pastor-driven” ministry. But it was NEVER meant to be this way:

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers…For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:11-12 - The “5-Fold” Ministry.) It takes all this to reach the objective: perfection! Envision the immense effectiveness of the church if all these gifts were in attendance, active and executing in their commissions!

As we approach the closing stages of the church age, this concord is wanting! The time for the arrival of the apostles and prophets to their appropriate position in the church (with the remaining 3/5th of the ministry gifts) is about to emerge! They will provide the previously negligent balance, vision and structure essential for the completeness of the church.

It is the mandate, nature and mission of GAP to assist in the process of the spiritual and corporate revitalization and installation of these “missing” ministries in the local assembly, and ready the Body of Christ for the coming of its King, as well as the establishment and advancement of the Kingdom!
